There are so many acronyms these days… so what is a P.A.T.H.? Very simply put – a path that you create with a facilitator that leads you to your chosen future. It represents a simple planning process called Planning Alternative Tomorrows with Hope, developed by Marsha Forrest, John O’Brien and Jack Pearpoint, and in the 1990’s in Toronto. I was very fortunate to be trained by Rosanna von Sacken from Canada as she facilitated me virtually through my P.A.T.H.
Every task we undertake in the workplace fits into a process – whether we are aware of this or not. These workplace processes impact on both agency participants/clients, staff and the agency’s own internal workings, for example, finance, human resources and administration. As soon as more than one organisation is involved with a participant, there are across agency processes involved (formal as in a protocol/partnership, or informal).
The well-being of every person in a workplace is impacted on by their team culture. Engage team members in playing an active role in creating their team culture.
It was wonderful to work with a leadership team last week and be reminded how vital behavioural styles are in assisting people to communicate more effectively.
An honest briefing from a client is so very precious - value this time as it will set you up superbly for your upcoming work with the team/organisation.
Recently I had the great privilege of being invited to facilitate a leadership team through their team building workshops.
During National Reconciliation Week (27 May-3 June 2022), we all need to remember that every time we gather, we meet on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Lands. In our genuine acknowledgement of Country, we show that we know and recognise that we are on First Nations Lands.

When coming together digitally with leaders in your organisation, the meeting often becomes very task focussed. With the past couple of years demanding a significant increase in video conferencing as our default meeting platform, it's time that we re-introduce the human element of connection.
