Advance Your Business was established in 2002 to inspire leaders through education that builds knowledge and practical skills. Our core business is the development of leadership skills, knowledge and confidence through facilitated team retreats or sessions, training and mentoring.

Jill Nicholson

Jill Nicholson is the Principal of Advance Your Business. She has been leading workshops, facilitating planning and developing teams and people in not- for-profit organisations and small businesses for nearly 30 years. She is known for facilitating highly creative workshop spaces that bring out the best in participants – whether the focus be team processes, systems, getting the group to develop solutions or planning - enabling people, teams, organisations and businesses to grow and achieve their goals.

In her early career as a Social Worker, Jill led teams in the challenging child protection and sexual assault fields. Jill honed her leadership skills in pressurised workplaces with high service demand. She is passionate about learning, teaching, finding solutions and creating a clear path forward with those involved. She has developed a 6-day leadership training program, People Centered Leadership, which focusses on practical models and strategies that people can implement in their workplace.

Professional memberships

Jill is an accredited Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers. She is a past member of the Australian College of Social Work and their Leadership and Governance Community of Practice.
